Champagne for
Artisan production with esprit.
Guerdon is sourced exclusively from 51 winegrowing families in eight villages around Baroville, in the Côte des Bar, the southernmost appellation in Champagne. Their clay-limestone soils, shaped over 150 million years of geological history, yield the full-bodied, fruit-driven Pinot Noir that forms the backbone of every cuvée.
Numerous excellent reviews from our customers and positive evaluations from the trade press confirm our path every single day.
Tradition
The Côte des Bar is Champagne's southernmost frontier, closer to Chablis than to Reims, warmer, and geologically distinct. Here, marl-clay soils over ancient limestone give the region's Pinot Noir a breadth and generosity not found further north. Guerdon draws exclusively from eight villages where 51 grower families have cultivated the same vineyards since 1962.
The Cooperative
Our Craft
Every Guerdon cuvée begins with the first pressing only, the fraction richest in sugar, acid, and complexity. What follows is time, measured in years rather than months. Reserve wines, up to 40% of the blend, add depth and consistency across harvests.
The Manufacture
Exclusivity
Whilst some of the large champagne houses focus on pure market penetration and produce bottles in the millions, Guerdon focuses on artisan quality, producing only 100,000 bottles per year. Each is individually numbered.
